Karen Jane Cannon offers creative writing mentoring for writers wanting critical feedback on their poetry and prose. She is a former manuscript editor for The Writer’s Workshop, one of the leading editorial agencies, and previously lectured at Bath Spa University for three years, on the Creative Writing BA, Karen has an MA in Creative Writing (with distinction) from Bath Spa and is currently working towards a PhD at the University of Southampton, researching poetry and place. She has previously taught for the OCA and conducted a major Arts Council funded writing residency for Somerset Library Services, offering workshops across the county.
Mentoring is tailored individually for each client, and can cover areas such as preparing a first pamphlet or collection for publication, working towards a competition entry, as well as full written critiques and publishing advice for novels.
