Wild Boar Press is my non-profit, hybrid micro publishing project aiming to collate the old and forgotten poems of particular vulnerable landscapes in Southern England, to help raise awareness of the continuing need for physical environmental conservation in those areas.
I believe these cultural voices of the past can help shape the future of each fragile place by illuminating what each area represents—the legends, folklore and histories that are closely interwoven with each landscape. I want readers to be inspired and empowered by the poets’ retelling of place in their own words, and hope these collected poems, presented in beautiful print anthologies and online, can help instil a vital sense of value, belonging and connection in readers, and a call-for-arms to protect those vulnerable places we all emotionally inhabit.
